SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The North Dakota Softball team started its 2023 season Friday with two games on the campus of Cal Poly. In the first game they took on Nevada, falling 10-1 and then capped off the day with a game against hosts Cal Poly, falling 3-0.
Freshman Brooklyn Morris scored the team's first run of the season on an RBI single up the middle from Angie Dumlao against Nevada. Morris scored in her first game as a Hawk and Dumlao picked up her second straight game with an RBI, going back to last year against St. Thomas.
