Box Score 2 KANSAS CITY – Lauren Brown, in her first season with the North Dakota softball team, had the best game of her season in game two Saturday as she had a two run triple and a three run home run to lead the Fighting Hawks to an 8-4 win in game two Saturday, which followed a 8-0 loss in game one. In game one Bailey Brumley got the win while Jackie Albrecht took the loss, and in game two Makaela Carr got the win, her fourth of the season, while Camryn Stickel took the loss.
After a quiet game one, the UND bats woke up in game two. In the first inning, Madison Pederson got UND on the board with an RBI single that drove Madi Moore in. In the second inning, Katie Joten got a two run double as Moore and Brown both came in to score. In the third inning Brown drove in Pederson and Katelyn Neumayer with her two run triple to make it 5-0. The Roos scored four unanswered from that point to make it 5-4 heading into the seventh, but Brown drove a three run blast over the wall to put the exclamation point on the win for UND.
