ORLANDO, Fla. – The North Dakota Softball team continued their weekend in Florida on Saturday, taking on Toledo and then rematching with Kennesaw State. UND bats were quiet against Toledo as the Rockets won 4-0 and fell 7-3 to the Owls after scoring the first three runs of the game. Erin Hunt got the win in game one for Toledo while Jackie Albrecht took the loss. In game two, Kenley Hilleary got the win for KSU while Makaela Carr took the loss.
In game one, Albrecht threw six innings and struck out four batters, allowing four runs (three earned). UND had a chance to score in the third inning as Madi Moore reached on an error and then advanced to third on the throw, but was unable to come in to score. In the fifth with one out and runners on first and second a groundout moved two runners into scoring position but a groundout ended the UND threat.

In game two, the Fighting Hawks got off to a fast start as they took a 3-0 lead. Kaycee Hayes started the bottom of the first with a single and then Izzy Haslett followed with the first home run of her career to put UND up 2-0. In the bottom of the second they extended their lead with an RBI double from Angie Dumlao, which followed back to back singles from Taya Hopfauf and Katie Joten. Starter Makaela Carr went six innings, allowing three earned runs (five total) on seven hits.

· Albrecht got back-to-back strikeouts in the first to end the inning in game one, stranding a runner on second base.
